UKRAINIAN REFUGEE AID
Feed Displaced Ukrainians
Christ the Servant Lutheran Church has the goal of feeding distressed families within Ukraine. There are 8 million people displaced from their homes, 18% of the country’s pre-war population. The CTS funds will purchase food and other necessities in bulk, mostly from European food banks. Our Lutheran brethren in Slovakia will assemble Boxes of Blessings – each 60-pound box is sufficient to sustain one family for a month. The local coordinator, Bevin Stein, will drive the Boxes of Blessings across the border to needy people in eastern Ukraine, a journey of many days and 1,600 miles roundtrip with some risk and great reward. Your donation of $85 will feed one family for a month. As of Friday, 3/17/2023, the campaign has collected $12,503 towards the CTS goal of $28,000 to fund 300 Boxes of Blessings, enough to fully load Bevin’s semi-trailer truck.
